Why are our mental and nutritional healths so connected? Because your brain is never “off.” Even while you sleep, your brain works hard to consolidate memories and restore and repair your body. Similar to a car, the brain requires fuel to function. Nutrient-dense foods provide your mind with premium fuel. The foods you eat directly impact your brain’s function and structure, in turn, influencing your mood.
